A Natural History of the Senses, Diane Ackerman, p.101 Statement: I was inspired by this part of the reading to sketch a small self-portrait of myself in space. This quote made me think about the uncertainties and unknowns of life, similar to those of the vast universe we exist in. I imagined floating through open space, and the feeling of letting go of control.   1. Seashell: I found this on Vilano, it represents the ocean which is my happy place. 2. Succulents: I'm slowly filling my house with plants because I love surrounding myself with life. 3. Art Magnet: My best friend got this for me, and I love the message. 4. Paint Brushes: I take my art supplies with me wherever I go, it's a huge part of my life. 5. Ukulele: This was a gift from a friend, and I really love music.  6. Appalachian Trail badge: I'm really into backpacking, this is from my longest hike. 7. French Dictionary: This represents travel, one of my favorite activities. 8: Rings: These represent self-expression.
